Thrift Store Thursday

The Thrift Store in our little town has recently changed hands. The new owners have 'de-cluttered' a lot of the old treasures that I used to love poking through. It is not the same as the old store that I loved. However, I did find a few small 'treasures' this week.

The heart shaped, cutwork pillow reminds me of the cutwork my Austrian aunt used to do. I would love to learn how to do that. It seems like some needlework has become lost art.

I found a new tassel. I did make one for myself and had a lot of fun doing it, but this one was so pretty. Someone has put much effort and care into making it. It has a new home in my bedroom.
I so enjoy the sweet comments you leave for me. They make my heart happy.

Hi Pamela,
I am sorry to hear about your thrift store. I had a different experience yesterday. A thrift store that I frequent had a major renovation and is a lot bigger, open every weekday now instead of just two and I love it.

Beautiful tassel you found there too! I still have not made one yet...One of these days!
Have a great day!
Blessings~
