On Vacation

Dear Blogging Friends,
I am on vacation, at a family reunion in Northern British Columbia. I appreciate all the wonderful comments and compliments you have left for me, but do not have the time right now to reply to everyone. Love you all,

Where Bloggers Create

Welcome to my creative studio. There are 3 more posts following of the same space.

My little studio is just a converted closet. I have downsized from my craft room in order for my DH to have a space of his own.

You can see a ton of other creative spaces by going to Karen's blog. She is the hostess of this great party. Where Blogger's Create @ My Desert Cottage. Thank you so much for inviting us, Karen!

Where Bloggers Create

I really need a clock to let me know when it is time to quit.

The white vintage sewing machine drawer is supposed to be a ribbon dispenser, but I am using it to store fat quarters.

Magazine holders are great for storing patterns. These ones are covered with embossed wallpaper. I have instuctions here.

My bulleting board is waiting to be covered with inspiration.

Crafty Corner

This is the apron I made to wear to a cupcake-themed tea party I am having in August. The main fabric was purchased online from an Etsy shop, My Heart & Sew. Cassie was so sweet to do custom cuts for me and the shipping was very quick, too.
I downloaded the pattern from The Secret Stitch Club. The photos and instructions were great, very clear and easy to follow. Thank you to Maren and Cassie for helping me with a fun project.

Thank You, Andrea!

The rules that go with this award require listing 7 things you love that show your creativity, then link back to the person who gave you the award, and pass it along to 7 other bloggers.

This will be a very difficult award to respond to, however, I will try to do my best.

Thank you to Andrea at A Parson's Wife for passing the 'torch'. Please visit her blog, she is very gifted with the written word. She inspires and encourages me simply by being part of my little, fledgling attempt at blogging.

7 Ways I Love to Show Creativity

1. I love to come up with creative ways to entertain my grandsons. We have lots of fun together and we love to craft together.

2. I love to re-purpose things and pretty them up. Finding something old and otherwise useless and turning it into something great is quite exciting.

3. I love throwing themed tea parties for my friends. Finding the table settings, little gifts, games and fun food that somehow all relate gets my creative juices flowing.

4. I think building my blog is a creative effort.

5. Some of my creative hobbies include - sewing, crocheting, scrapbooking, home decorating.

6. I took Creative Writing courses for several years.

7. Does reading books about creativity count? I have read most of Julia Cameron's books and many publications from Stampington. I love to see what everyone else is up to.

Passing on the award is terribly hard. Many great blogs have already received the Kreative Blogger. Here are a few new faces, please visit them and leave a comment so they will know you've been.

Kim at Shabby, Pink and Pretty who created Teacup Tuesday.

Desires of the Heart has great music (I actually only came across this blog this morning)

Karen at My Desert Cottage has a FABULOUS blog. Amazing images. She is hostess of Where Bloggers Create which is growning like wildfire.

Carrie from The Passionate Home is the owner and creative force behind the store of the same name. She is a beginning blogger, and really off to a great start.

The Illusive Swan is brand new to the blogging world. Check out her gorgeous photography (there is a link to her Flickr on the blog)

Dawn at Hydrangea Home. I can't believe she hasn't already received this award.

Dream in Cream. I love her photos of all the white on white decorating.

I guess finding bloggers to pass Kreative Blogger along to wasn't really all that hard. Once I started going through my favorites list it became harder to stop. lol

I hope you enjoy these creative souls as much as I do.
