Sew Much Fun

Create Every Day - something I read on someone else's blog. Today I found this gizmo at my local thrift store. (I don't even own a Pfaff machine)
This is what it looks like out of the box. It is called a 'ruffler', and that is exactly what it makes. (by the way, it fits on my machine)

I took some vintage streamer ($.50) and made yards and yards of ruffles. I was giggling and laughing out loud. Who would have thought you could have so much fun for $2.50!
Now, what do you do with crepe paper ruffles?

Well, I started my first multi-media collage using my One Little Word 2010 **PEACE**
Coffee dyed Dollar Store flower, vintage dictionary page.

I'm on my way!

Hi Lady Pamela,

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and for your kind message.

The large pitcher is from Winners, the medium size one my Mom bought me at Marshalls when we were in the States, and the teeny creamer was a thrift store find, I think I paid 50cents and it's one of my all time favourites! I have just a little weakness for pitchers and bowls! I do like Homesense but enjoy a bargain find that much more!

Your ruffler looks like so much fun, good for you for working it out. I always see sewing attachments in thrift stores but never know if they would actually work! I love to sew and haven't done much for a while so I'm just itching to get going again.

Anyway, enjoy your ruffling and blessings to you:-)

Hi Lady Pamela ~ What a great White Wed. post. What a great find this ruffler was for you!! Sounds like you really enjoyed it and wanted to ruffle everything in sight!

I think your newest collage is simply gorgeous!! Really, really lovely. Your word used here reminds me of this old song, do you know it? "Peace like a river
floods over my soul..."

Hope you had a peaceful and blessed
Resurrection Day...

P.S. Your new background is stunning...

Lady Pamela-
That was pure luck finding that ruffler and so smart for knowing what to do with it. I think I would have been so tickled that I would have ruffled the entire roll (or did you?)Have fun with it. What are the odds of finding another one? :)
