White Wednesday

This is me doing the happy dance. ;)
I have had my eye on this fireplace for over 2 years, but it was much too expensive. We waited patiently for the store to put it on sale, and last week was our lucky day!
It fits perfectly in our dining room but you can still enjoy it from the living room, too.

Notice the complete lack of decor on the mantle. I have no idea how to stage it. Does anyone know of any good websites on how to decorate a fireplace? If you do, PLEASE leave the link in the comments or email me. I would so much appreciate any help or suggestions.
I can't wait to decorate it for fall.

Here is a closer shot of some of the detail.
My little fireplace is electric, it came with a remote control. lol
It is going to be so nice and warm here this winter.
Don't forget to check out the other posts for White Wednesday. There are new blogs being added every week.

Oh how very fun! Isn't it wonderful when your patience pays off?
I think you need some color . . . be it greenery or beautiful fall colored leaves. Maybe something in the cloche . . . it looks pretty wide . . . I noticed your roses painting on the wall . . . maybe bring in the darkest colors of that picture so it doesn't clash. I would probably do a grouping of three of things.
I'd probably wander around my house and steal stuff from other places and see what looks good!
HOW FUN! Have a good time playing with this!

Hi Pamela
Your patience paid off!!! This is lovely and your house looks beautiful. I can see a lovely display of white pumpkins on it--I'm going to try to do some up for Carrie's store in the next week.

Your fireplace is just wonderful! I love the shabby rose print on the mantle, too. I agree, white pumpkins would be beautiful.
Thanks so much for popping over and leaving me a comment earlier, I hope you'll visit soon and often!

Lady Pamela, That is a nice little corner fireplace. A great piece for a bedroom in my place. I was wondering if the top of it gets hot, because that would eliminate putting anything on it. You know what would be great is a one piece corner shelving on the top of the wall. This way you can balance out the look for that particular corner by setting things on the shelves.

I went back to the pictures and I thought of another idea would be great is something large hanging from the ceiling in that corner.
