I am a Flybaby. If you have never heard of Marla Cilley you can check her out here.
One of the things she does is help us organize and de-clutter our homes. For the month of February I am following the daily de-clutter missions which are broken down into managable tasks. Today I have decided to let go of my 32 year wedding cake top. Not the ornament, but the actual cake itself. It has been in the same freezer for all these years and we are looking for a new freezer. I do not want to put an old cake into a brand new shiny freezer.

Oh my...I'm a Flybaby dropout. It was great while it lasted though! Neat house, organized drawers. I guess I'd have to give a thumbs up to giving the old cake the heave ho. Even in my Flybaby/Flylady exhiled state, I can see the benefit of that one!
Have a great day,
Judy
Oh my goodness...32 years, yep I would toss it. Still looks "pretty in pink" though! LOL
Blessings!
I do the FlyLady thing, too, but I would have kept the cake. It's darling!
I couldn't imagine throwing away my cake especially not after holding unto it for 32 years. So far mine sits in the freezer and its been six years. I plan on having my kids throw it out after hubby and I are long gone.
Pamela,
Wow, that must be a tough thing to do. It is so darn pretty. I am thrilled you didn't decide to discard the topper (I almost had a heart attack when I first started reading this post!) Whew....
What a lovely cake though. 32 years, I'd have to say "IT's TIME TO GO!
