Makeover Monday
What do you think I made out of an old, rusty silver tray from the thrift store?
Well, it involved a can of white spray paint and a beautiful vinyl monogram. I am going to make 3 of them, one for each grandson. They love to have McDonald's breakfast on a tray when they come to sleep over. These are so much more elegant than the old plastic cafeteria trays we were using. I ordered my monograms from Carla who has a shop on Etsy. She is great, reasonably priced and did a beautiful job.

Crafty Corner
I had alot of fun making this flower. All it takes is a small amount of organza and a pretty rhinestone button in the middle. There is a terrific tutorial here
Very easy to follow and not much time if you want a quick project. It involves a lit candle, so I worked near a sink of water and with my DH at home just in case, but I had no problem.
Thanks to Tresa for a great idea.

Where Women Create
The new edition of Stampington's Where Women Create came out May 1st. I was very fortunate to get myself a copy at Michael's this afternoon. Can't wait to get into it. I am carving myself out a little creative space in a large closet (down sizing from a room of my own) I have gotten some of the best ideas from my blogging buddy, Sandi @ Wayside Treasures. I know she would love it if you paid her a visit, you will be warmly welcomed there.
