Advent Tags #8 and 9

I love this sweet wee birdie, the original had a window in the background, but I substituted it for a birdcage. I already had the Tim Holtz Sizzix Die and I don't seem to get to use it enough. The birdie is sitting on a tarnished, silver sugar spoon, softened with vintage music shred.
#9 was very simple. A copy of an old postcard, stamped; some beautiful ribbon from Patsy at Prairie Bird Boutique

(Patsy has amazing ribbon in her Etsy shop.)

Added to a Thrift Store photo frame.

Right now I am about half way through my Advent tags. I had no idea I would get that much done so quickly.

Happy White Wednesday. To see the other entries, go to my sidebar and click on Kathleen's site Faded Charm.

My New Bag

I wanted to share with you my fabulous, custom made burlap bag from Kellie at Bag Full Of Posies on Etsy. All the seams are finished, there is a pocket sewn inside for change or whatever. The bottom folds out so you can get the most inside you could ever imagine and the leather handles are just the right length for either over the shoulder or over your arm. Don't you just love it!
Of course the best part are the white and cream roses and the beautiful script font Kellie chose, it really says "Lady Pamela". Thanks Kellie.

Advent Tags #4, 6 and 7

First of all, I apologize that the photos came out in the wrong order. Once in awhile I have a problem with that. But I don't have the time to fix them this morning.
this is the close-up of Tag 7. I am not as happy with my angel wings, but they do not look too bad close up.

Look closely at the tiny fork photo hanger holding the child's picture. Something from my old stash of cardmaking supplies.

White Wednesday #89

Believe it or not this is the beginning of my first Christmas 2011 craft project. I am making an Advent Calendar so I thought that if I started in January, I just might finish in time for December. Maybe.
The instructions came from One Lucky Day
I was able to purchase them from their Etsy Shop.
This is the tag for Day 1.
Day 2

And Day 5.

I have had so much fun making the tags. I can make one up in an evening, once I have gathered up all the little bits. I am so grateful to these ladies for their gift of creativity. I hope to keep posting more tags as I get them finished.
And thanks again to Kathleen for hosting another great White Wednesday. You can find her link on my sidebar.

Happy Valentine's Day

I really loved this little tin I found at the $ store, the candy inside was horrible! I threw it in the garbage.
The tiered cake plate was from youngest daughter. She bought it from a thrift store. I love it when they learn good habits from their mothers. (lol)
I bought the Scrabble Tile sign from my friend, Sandi at Wayside Treasures. She has an Etsy shop here. I love it when I get a package in the mail from Sandi.

White Wednesday #85 - Bath Salts Bottles

I could not show you these before Christmas as they were meant to be gifts for my 3 lovely daughters. The instructions and ideas were from a wonderful friend and artist, Janis at Rust and Ruffles. Here and here are the links where she shows off her designs.
I put them in some gorgeous fabric bottle bags and let them choose their own, sight unseen. It was fun seeing which young lady ended up with which bottle. The bottles were all made with thrift store junk and scrapbooking rub-ons.

I was going to make home made bath salts, but I found a bargain at London Drugs. A mega ton bag of epson salts infused with lavender, already to scoop - no fuss, no muss.

This was actually made from a decoration which was on a gift that was given to me at Christmas. I bought a plain frame from HomeSense, put vintage cream wallpaper in behind the glass and used that sticky stuff that you put up posters with to temporarily adhere the reindeer to the front of the glass. This great idea came from a blogger on the internet, but I am sad to say that I have misplaced her link. PLEASE - If you know who I can give credit to, let me know ASAP so I can get the word out. I hate to be a copy cat without at least a thank you.
Happy White Wednesday. You can go to my sidebar to link up to Faded Charm and see all the other lovely WW posts.
